That's a question I have been asked quite a few times regarding Norwex microfiber cloths, especially the EnviroCloth. It's a good question to ask too, because it does work, and the reason it works is what sets Norwex apart from other cloths, even other microfiber cloths.
To be considered microfiber, the fibers need only be 1/6th the size of a human hair. Norwex microfiber, on the other hand, is 1/200th the size of a human hair, making it able to pick up the smallest particles and leave a surface much cleaner than other microfiber cloths.
The cloth is also able to hold up to 7 times it's weight in matter. It's different from regular cloths that simply spread dirt and grime around, instead it actually lifts the dirt up and removes it from the surface. But the best part is this: Norwex cloths contain something called MicroSilver that actually self-purifies the cloth within 24 hours. This helps keep the cloths from getting smelly from mould and bacteria growth.
When used and laundered properly, Norwex EnviroCloths (containing the MicroSilver) are able to remove 99% of bacteria from a surface when following the proper care and use instructions. That means you can even use your cloth with JUST WATER to wipe up after working with raw chicken! Here's an awesome video showing how this works, as well as how to properly use the cloth:
For laundering these cloths, you can throw them in the washer and dryer, just don't use any fabric softeners or bleach, as these will coat the microfibre and reduce cleaning ability. Also, make sure to dry with other lint-free laundry, as these cloths really do pick up everything, including laundry lint!
Norwex microfiber can be used wet to clean surfaces and dry to dust, so it really is a multi-purpose cleaning tool. As I've begun using Norwex more regularily, I've stopped buying other cleaning products altogether, and I also will use these clothes instead of paper towel and other kitchen cloths. They really are amazing cloths!
